One can see how today's Christianity is messed up. We read stuff like this trilogy that has just enough of the right religious words but a whole lot of science fiction (or unveiled magic) and we think it must be OK. Syncretism.
I didn't really like it. The dialog seemed so contrived.
Woz claims to be an ethical logician but his experience with the blue boxes shows that (at that time) he was nothing but a pranking thief. No doubt he's a genius but call it what it is/was: stealing.

The new movie is great! The spoof didn't really do anything for me (even though I'm a HUGE Peter Sellers fan and a large David Niven fan.

Another excellent Ransome book. Not, perhaps, as good as Peter Duck but still very good. My advice to anyone planning on reading this book: get the maps in your head before you start out. Understanding where you are and where they're going will help you enjoy the book more.

This is easily the best-written book I have read in ages. In fact, I can't think of a better one.
The front page quotes Hugh Walpole: "Peter Duck is so well written that you don't realize that it is written at all. The adventures just seem to occur to oneself." I heartily agree.
